PPCPL: Murtaza Warriors to take on Simula Super Stars in final tomorrow

SRINAGAR, June 16: Murtaza Warriors will take on Simula Super Stars in the final of the Police Public Cricket Premier League (PPCPL) on June 18
Earlier, in the first semis, Murtaza Warriors won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 109 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs with Omar Nabi scoring 28 runs.
In reply TCI Max scored only 99 runs for the loss of 9 wickets and paved way for Murtaza Warriors for the final of the tournament.
Omar Alam was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance. Best catch award was given to the Ishtiyaq of Murtaza Warriors while maximum sixes award was presented to Abid Haroon of TCI Max.
The second semi final was played between Anantnag Kings and Simula Super stars.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Anantnag Kings scored 143 runs in 20 overs with Suhail Bashir scoring 35 runs.
In response the Simula Super Stars chased the target successfully in 19 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Hardeep Singh was the top scorer with 51 runs and was declared as man of the match. Best catch of the match award was presented to Mansoor Ahmed of Anantnag Kings whileas the maximum sixes award was bagged by Suhail Bashir of Anantnag Kings.
Superintendents of Police Manoj Kumar Pandita and Waseem Qadri awarded the gift cheques among the players.
Apart from final match, a match between TCI Max and Anantnag Kings will also be played tomorrow for the third position.
