POONCH, Feb 7: Outplaying their rivals convincingly, Power House Cricket Club and Surankote Cricket Club advanced into the next round of the ongoing T-20 cricket tournament, being organized by J&K Police under Civic Action Programme at Govt. Degree College ground , here.
In the first match played between Chandak and Power House, Chandak Club won the toss and chose to bat first and scored 100 for 7 in 20 overs, while chasing the target Power House scored 101 for 6 in 17 over’s, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Shallo of Power House team scored 30 runs and took 3 wickets to be adjudged man of the match.
The second match was played between Surankote and Mandi teams. Surankote won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 201 for 4 in 20 overs.
While chasing the target, Mandi scored 119 for 7 in 20 overs. Surankote won the match by 82 runs. Shabir of Surankote team scored 66 runs and was declared man of the match.
