ANANTNAG, Nov 25: Police Martyrs Memorial Volleyball tournament organized by IRP 11th Battalion concluded here today.
The culminating event of the Police Martyrs Memorial Volleyball Tournament took place with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship amongst the huge crowd of police and locals at the IRP 11th Battalion Headquarters in DPL Anantnag.
SSP Sandeep Mehta, Commanding Officer of IRP 11th Battalion said that the event served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our unsung heroes in the line of duty. The final match was played between the Spartan Club and DPL Anantnag Volleyball teams. Spartan Club Anantnag emerged victorious, securing the championship title and earning the respect and admiration of the audience, whereas, DPL Anantnag Volleyball remained runner up.
Chief Guest Sundeep Chakarvarty SSP Anantnag while complimenting the efforts of CO IRP 11th Battalion in conducting this tournament and exerted that this tournament not only showcased the athletic talents of our police force but also paid homage to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community.
Senior police officers, Deputy Commanding Officers of the Battalion Sajjad Shah SP, Altaf Ahmed SP, DySPs’ and prominent citizens of Anantnag and adjoining areas graced the occasion with their presence.
