SAMBA, Apr 9: Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament, organised by District Police under ‘Civic Action Programme’ concluded at Rani Suchet Singh Sports Stadium, here today.
Kehli Mandi-A team emerged as winner of the tournament by defeating Smailpur Badhori by 1goal to nil
The tournament was organised in the memory of brave Police martyrs who gave supreme sacrifices of their lives for the sovereignty and integrity of the nation which commenced on March14.
The winners and the runners-up teams were awarded with trophies. Earlier the uniform kits were also distributed between both the teams, while the referees of this tournament were also awarded with momentos and T-shirts.
SSP Samba, Dr Abhishek Mahajan congratulated the winning team and appreciated the youth for taking part in various sports events conducted by the District Police.
