JAMMU, Jan 6: Pencak Silat players brought laurels for Union Territory Ladakh in the National Championship held at Chennai in Tamil Nadu.
The players included Mohammad Hassan from Minjee, who won silver medal; Fatima Sugra from Gronguk Poyen, who bagged bronze medal along with Tesring Dolkar from Matho Leh.
After their arrival in Ladakh, the Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan congratulated the players of Ladakh Pencak Silat Association for wining one silver and two bronze medals.
He said that these players representing the UT Ladakh for the first time. These players included two players from Kargil and one player from Leh, who made good beginning of the year 2020.
President Ladakh Pencak Silat Association Sonam Tsering expressed joy over the performance of the players.
