*Young Heroes to clash with Jammu Sports in quarterfinal today

JAMMU, Apr 4: The match between Musa Club and Young Rover’s witnessed noisy scene over penalty row, when the former did not pay heed to the referee’s penalty decision and left the match during the ongoing 1st Vishal Heer Memorial Football Tournament, being organised by Young Heroes Football Club under the aegis of J&K Football Association (JKFA) at Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College football ground today. However, Young Rover’s advanced to the next round of the tournament after referees declared them winner.
In the first half of the match, players of Young Rover’s and Musa Club with their exhibitory skills restricted each other to raise the scorecard and the first half ended with no goal.
In the second half, the match was going on smoothly, when in the 65th minute the Musa Club player created a foul play in the penalty area of the Young Rover’s.
The players of Musa Club were not satisfied over penalty decision by the referees and the game was halted for over half an hour. After creating suspense for playing the game further, the players of Musa Club left the playground.
The referees after scrutinizing the overall situation declared Young Rover’s as winner of the match.
The yellow card was shown to Vishal Dogra of Musa Club in 50th minute of the second half.
The man of the match award was presented to Divakar Singh, goalkeeper of Young Rover’s football club.
The match was witnessed by Harbans Lal, Charan Dass, Rahit Kumar and large number of spectators.
The match was officiated by Suresh Kumar Gupta, Rinku Gill, Pankaj Kumar and Rajesh Sumberia.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Young Heroes will clash with Jammu Sports in quarterfinal match.
