JAMMU, Sept 5: 31st Jammu District Badminton Championship, being organized by Jammu City and District Badminton Association entered second day at police badminton hall, police line, here today.
In under-17 Singles (boys), Aesh Goswami thrashed Hardik by 2-0 sets (21-5 and 21-4), Aryan Nagpal registered win over Yuvraj Singh by 2-1 sets (14-21, 21-19 and 21-09), Mohit beat Nakul Vaid by 2-0 sets (22-20 and 21-16) and Sarandeep crushed Savinay Mengi by 2-1 sets (19-21, 21-19 and 21-17).
In under-17 Singles (girls), Peehushi beat Preeti by 2-0 sets (21-05 and 21-6) and Naman registered win over Rashmi Kashyap by straight 2-0 sets (21-17 and 21-15).
In under-19 Singles (boys), Divam Gupta crushed Mohit by 2-0 sets (21-05 and 21-12) and Ragav Dogra outclassed Aesh Goswami by 2-0 sets (21-10 and 21-12) and registered berth in the final.
In Singles (men), Vasu Bhagat trounced Manveet Singh by straight 2-0 sets (21-08 and 21-07), Ragav Dogra crushed Binny Sharma by 2-0 sets (21-11 and 21-13) and Divum Gupta thrashed Vishal Raina by 2-0 sets (21-03 and 21-08).
In under-17 doubles (boys), Yash and Nakul crushed Aryan and Sarandeep by 2-1 sets (15-21, 21-18 and 21-18), Savinay and Mohit smashed Manasdeep and Satwik by straight 2-0 sets (21-08 and 21-09) and entered into final.
In under-17 doubles (girls), Peehushi and Naman will take on Nitishi and Vidushi in the final. Earlier, Peehushi and Naman outplayed Akriti and Poorvi by straight 2-0 sets in the first semis and Nitishi and Vidushi smashed Rashmi and Sharuti by 2-1 sets (21-16, 23-25 and 23-21) in the second semifinal.
In under-19 doubles (boys), Divam and Ragav registered win over Mayank and Sahil by straight 2-0 sets (21-12 and 21-09) and sailed into the finals.
