PAG Jammu XI, Royal Legends win in Baisakhi Bash

JAMMU, Apr 22: The Baisakhi Bash Knockout Cricket Tournament, organized by Sarthak Khoda and Agastya Sharma under the supervision of Vikrant Sharma, kicked off with thrilling matches at Jammu, showcasing power-packed performances and spirited cricket.
In the opening match, PAG Jammu XI defeated Rehari Kings by 17 runs. Batting first, PAG posted a formidable 195/5. Suryansh Raina played a brilliant knock of 77, while Paras Sharma contributed a quick 51. Anil Kalsi was the standout for Rehari Kings, claiming 2 wickets for 12 runs, and later scoring 45 off 24 balls. Rahul added a valuable 42 off 31, but Rehari Kings were restricted to 178/7. For PAG, Manitvya Sharma took 2 wickets, while Ram Dayal, Rahil Singh, Bandeep Singh, Paras Sharma, and Utkarsh Koul chipped in with one wicket each.
The second encounter was dominated by Royal Legends Cricket Club, who crushed BCCI by 9 wickets. BCCI managed only 140 in 19.5 overs, with Anmol Chauhan scoring 24 off 8 and Sourav Manhas 17 off 22. Jatin and Arjun Singh took 2 wickets each, keeping the pressure on. In reply, Jatin delivered a stunning 110 off 32 balls*, supported by Amritpal Singh with 29 off 20*, as Royal Legends chased down the target in just 9 overs at 144/1. Giridhari Lal and Arun officiated the matches. The tournament promises more exciting action in the days ahead.
