JAMMU, Nov 26: International Daily Rising School (IDRS) Chawadi organised Olympiad Award Ceremony for the year 2019-20 at University of Jammu, here today.
Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu was the chief guest. He distributed prizes among five students of the School.
About 105 students had participated in various Olympiads wherein Avani Sudan of class 1st secured 3rd position in International ranking and 2nd position in Zonal ranking in English Olympiad whereas Anahita Samyal of class 1st bagged 21st position in International ranking and 20th position in Zonal ranking in the Math Olympiad.
Rudra Deep Gupta of class 1st clinched 21st position in International ranking and 20th position in Zonal ranking in Math Olympiad while Suhaan Gupta of class 1st claimed 24th position in International ranking and 5th position in Zonal ranking in Science Olympiad and Avantika Nayak of Class 2nd achieved 35th position in International ranking and 17th position in Zonal ranking in Math Olympiad.
The programme was attended by Supinder Kaur, Chairperson IDRS; Dr Atul Hans, Director Academics; Ruchi Manhas, Vice-Principal, teachers and parents.
The welcome address and vote of thanks was given by Dr Atul Hans.
The chief guest said that the SOF Olympiad competition provides an opportunity to the students to show their hidden and incredible potential. “All the activities conducted by the SOF Olympiad aim at making learning an interesting and interactive process in which the students put their skills, memory, talent and knowledge to test,” he added.
Supinder Kaur emphasized that the need of these Olympiad as they push the ability of students to perform better in all examinations and allow them to review their progress at frequent intervals.
