NTPC Sr National Archery C’ship gets underway

JAMMU, Mar 23: The 41st NTPC Senior National Archery Men and Women Championship-2022, organised by Archery Association of J&K, entered 3rd day at MA Stadium, here today.
The winners of the championship were awarded in a function wherein Mukesh Singh-Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone was the chief guest, while Nuzhat Gul Secretary J&K Sports Council was guest of honour. Both of them awarded the winners in presence of Prof. (Dr) Ashutosh Sharma, president J&K Olympic Association, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Ravinder Singh (Bubby), Sharat Chander Singh.
In recurve 70 Mtrs (Overall) men, Basant Kumar, Pravin Jadhav and Parth Sushant Saunkhe stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, while in individual Olympic round, top three places were won by Sachin Gupta, Atanu Das and Paras Hooda respectively and in 70 mtrs women, Ankita Bhakat, Deepika Kumari and Bhajan Kaur bagged first three places, besides in individual Olympic round, top three places were clinched by Ridhi, Dipti Kumari and Deepika Kumari respectively, whereas in men team, team of Pravin Jadhav, Bommadevara Dhiraj, Tarundeep Rai & Gurucharan Besra stood 1st, while Basant Kumar, Neeraj Chauhan, Chaman Singh & Priyank remained 2nd and Sachin Gupta, Paras Hooda, Jashandeep & Akash claimed 3rd spot.
In women team, Bhajan Kaur, Ridhi, Avni & Tisha Punia won first place, while Ankita Bhakat, Komalika Bari, Laxmi Hembrom & Sonali Bakhla stood 2nd and Dipti Kumari, Prachi Singh, Ishita & Sumita Kumari remained 3rd.
In the mixed team, Sachin Gupta & Bhajan Kaur stood 1st, while Jayanta Talukdar and Ankita Bhakat won 2nd place and Juyel Sarkar & Aditi Jaiswal remained 3rd respectively.
