JAMMU, Mar 20: Navreh Premier League Chapter-3 was inaugurated at Country Cricket Ground Gharota in the memory of Police Martyrs, here today.
Two matches were played wherein Anti Corruption CC beat Bharat Cricket Club (BCC) in the first match. ACC scored 138 runs. Samir Ahmed made 21 runs, while BCC bundled out at 117 runs in 19 overs. Karan made 27 runs and Mobile Bhat scored 21 runs for BCC. Sunil Jala was declared as man of the match. Ajaz, Jalla and Showkat claimed 2 wickets each.
In 2nd match, APCC scored 192 runs while batting first in which Deepak made highest 98 runs and Vikas scored 29 runs, while Friends Cricket Club could not chase the set target and bundled out at 129 runs. Shailendra Salathia of FCC was the most successful batsman who made 48 runs in 37 deliveries. Vinod Bhat of APCC was the most successful bowler who claimed 4 wickets.
Deepak of APCC was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance.
Varun Jandial, SDPO Akhnoor was the chief guest of the event, while Rakesh Khajuria SHO Gharota, Ajay Raina, Rajneesh Koul, Sarthak Khoda and family members of Police martyrs were also present during the inaugural ceremony.
