Police Cricket tournament concludes

RAJOURI, Mar 20:  A Cricket tournament, organised by J&K Police under ‘Civic Action Program’ concluded at GDC Thannamandi, here today.
A total of six teams participated in the tournament and the final match was played between Mojza Club and Baba Sports Club today wherein Mojza Club won the final match. Batting first, Mojza Club scored 111 runs, while Baba Sports Club bundled out at 104 runs.
DDC Member Thannamandi Abdul Qayoom Mir was the chief guest, whereas President Municipal Committee Thannamandi, Shakeel Ahmed Mir was guest of honour and SDPO Thannamandi Imtiaz Ahmed, SHO Thannamandi Shokat Amin, Abdul Ghani Shawl District general secretary BJP, Khurshid Ahmed Bismal, Shamim Ahmed Mughal and many others were present during the closing ceremony of the tournament.
The chief guest awarded the winning and runner-up teams.
SSP, Mohammad Aslam said that this cricket tournament has been organised to give a platform to the youth to utilize their sports talent in the right direction.
