National Wushu C’ship enters Day 2

SRINAGAR, Oct 30: The 31st Senior National Wushu championship, being organised at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, entered Day-2, here today.
In the Championship, J&K boys stormed into the next round, whereas 150 bouts were played on the second day in Sanda. Surya Bhanu defeated Services, while Abhishek, Haqeek Ahmed, Owais Sarwar, Goutam, Abid, Hashim stormed into next rounds of the championship.
In Taolu, five events were taken where Manipur Changquan (Men), Arunachal Pradesh Changquan (Men), SSCB Taijiquan (Men) and All India Police Taijiquan (Women) respectively shared one Gold medal each in today’s event.
President Vijay Saraf and Anil Vij vice-president of WAI, Suhail Ahmad and Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya awardee) presented medals to the winners.
The 2nd round bouts of pre-quarter final and final fight in men/women section will be played in Sanda, tomorrow.
