KC Sports Club emerge winner in KCSC U/19 tournament

REASI, Oct 23: National Cricket Club (National CC) beat Hindustan CC Reasi by 41 runs in the final match of Police Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament and won the title trophy, organised by J&K Police at General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium, here today.
Batting first National CC scored 153 runs while its opponent team bowled out at just 112 runs. Vicky of National CC scored 59 runs with four sixes and three boundaries while Veru and Rakesh contributed 25 and 20 runs respectively for National Cricket Club.
Jaswant of National Cricket Club took 4 wickets.
Kamlesh Pandita, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Reasi was chief guest. He appreciated the efforts of SSP Reasi and his team for organising such Cricket tournament.
SSP Rashmi Wazir, Anjum Ara Seceratary District Legal Services Authority, Rajinder Sharma Addl DC, Surjeet Bhagat Add SP Reasi, Mumtaz Ali Bhatti DySP DAR and many others were present during closing ceremony.
SSP Reasi highlighted the bravery, courage and valour of the martyrs and paid rich tribute to the martyred police personnel. She said that our martyrs without caring for their lives fought till their last breath for peace of J&K and gave supreme sacrifices of their lives while protecting and safeguarding the nation.
Chief Guest along with other dignitaries distributed trophies among winner team and top performers of the tournament. Man of the Series and Best Bowler of the tournament were awarded to Jaswant Singh of National CC, who took 12 wickets while Man of the Match of the final match was given to Vicky of National CC and Best All Rounder award of the tournament was given to Vikas Singh of Hindustan Cricket Club Reasi who scored 88 runs and took 5 wickets in the tournament.
The runner up team was awarded with Rs 8000 cash prize along with mementos while winner team was awarded with Rs 12000 cash prize along with winning trophy.
Meanwhile, in another match the KC Sports Club beat Pt Prem Nath Dogra Club by 5 wickets in KCSC U/19 (40 overs) tournament played at KC Sports Club, Jammu.
Batting first Pt Prem Nath Dogra Club made 132 runs in 37 overs. Harman Singh, Aarav Mahajan and Yuvraj Saini contributed 27, 22 and 17 runs respectively. For KC Sports Club, Sanat Anand took 3 wickets whereas Dinesh Mahajan and Aaryan Mahajan took 2 wickets each.
In reply, KC Sports Club chased the target in 21 overs. Arya Suvansh, Samarpit Raina and Raghav Thakur made 67, 27 and 12 runs respectively. For Pt Prem Nath Dogra Club, Vishal took 3 wickets whereas Harman and Kartik clinched 1 wicket each.
Arya Suvansh of KC Sports Club was declared as Man of the Match. The match was officiated by Ashok Kumar, Dinesh Kumar and Steffi Sabastian.
