Mohit, Jaswinder, Satyajeet advance in Sr Snooker

JAMMU, Sept 30: Mohit Mahajan, Jaswinder Singh and Satyajeet defeated their rivals by convincing margins in the second round to advance in the ongoing Jammu District Open Junior and Senior Snooker Championship, being organized by the J&K Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA) at Billiards Hall in MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the first match played today, Mohit Mahajan drubbed Ravi Sharma by three frames to one (3-1) by (71-35, 43-22, 63-65, 59-17). After winning the first two sets easily, Mohit lost the third narrowly and came back strongly in the fourth set to win it with a huge margin.
In another second round match played today, Jaswinder Singh blanked Sanjay Sharma by (3-0) with (60-52, 47-40, 65-54), while in yet another contest Satyajeet thrashed Vishal Mahajan 3-0 by (64-33, 50-42, 48-35).
Meanwhile, due to failure of electricity in the Billiards Hall, the organizers were in a position to hold only three matches today, so the remaining matches scheduled for the day would be held at the same venue tomorrow.
The remaining matches of Round 2 would be held at the same venue tomorrow.
