Model Academy organises Annual Sports Day

JAMMU, Dec 21: The school playground of Model Academy School was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere as Humming Buds- The Pre School, Inclusive School and Primary wing of Model Academy of both the branches celebrated Annual Sports Day under Fit India Movement at its B.C. Road Campus, here.
Dr Adit Gupta, Director MIER was the chief guest on the occasion, while Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER was the guest of honour.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the torch by Dr Gupta, who declared the Meet open.
Different races like Butterfly Race, Decorate the Christmas Tree, Here Comes the Santa and the Queen, Pyramid race, Complete the picture of famous Indian Mathematician, Relay race, Dribble with basketball and Hurdle race to name a few captivated the audience. The students participated with great sportsmanship and gusto.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the students for taking part in various activities and said that such events are always momentous for children. He also stressed that sports inculcate discipline and focus in students which help them to become self-confident.
Other dignitaries present were Pramod Srivastava, Principal Model Academy, JK Dhiman Vice Principal, Chanda Gupta, Academic Managers, Maneka Khanna, In-charge Humming Buds , Dr. Rohnika Sharma, HOD B.Ed Special and General, Manju Vali, Convener Co-Curricular Committee and Usha Chuni, Convener Sports Committee.
The winners of various events were honoured with gold, silver and bronze medals.
Chanda Gupta, Manager Academics extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries.
The whole programme was coordinated by Nisha and Imran, Physical Instructors of the school.
The programme was compeered by Ramandeep Kaur, Sports Captain of the School, who also presented the vote of thanks.
