MLA Billawar inaugurates sports programme

KATHUA, Apr 21: MLA Satish Sharma of Billawar inaugurated the Under-14 and Under-17 sports programme at Higher Secondary School Ramkot, organized by the Youth and Sports Department. In his address, MLA Sharma encouraged participants to play sports with integrity, stressing that both winning and losing teams should strive for excellence.
He highlighted that rural areas are filled with sports talent and that young athletes from small villages can make the country proud. Sharma also emphasized that sports contribute to both physical health and mental development.
The three-day program includes competitions in Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Badminton and Kabaddi. Principal Rajesh Verma, Zonal Physical Officer Bhadu Rajeev Khajuria and others attended the event.
