JAMMU, Aug 20: Martyr Capt. Tushar Mahajan Memorial Trust honoured meritorious (MCTMM) students of different classes and streams hailing from district Udhampur at Arya Samaj School, here today.
The function was attended by meritorious students, parents , prominent personalities from educational field, prominent citizens and all the members of the Trust.
Renowned Dogri and Hindi writer, Prof Shiv Nirmohi was the chief guest who while addressing the gathering focused on character building, self less service of Martyr Capt Tushar Mahajan and highlighted the efforts of the parents of the Martyr namely Asha Gupta and Dev Raj Gupta for their contribution towards the society.
The main objective of the Trust is to serve the society in social field, health sector, educational field and honouring the martyrs ‘families.
The students who were honoured included Ritika Anand, Vagisha Sharma, Sagrika Sharma, Pratiksha , Samrita Sumbria, Vanshika Thapa, Yogesh Magotra and Shubham Sharma (all 12 class), besides Ajay Kumar (BA) and Amit Singh (BCA).
JM Thermat, District Education & Planning Officer, Udhampur; Sanjeev Kumar, Principal APS Udhampur; Chinmey Jyoti, Chairman BBSVP School Udhampur and Prof SK Magotra addressed the gathering on the occasion, while the vote of thanks was presented by the chairman of the Trust , Dev Raj Gupta.
