Mankotia extends support to Modi’s ‘Fit India Movement’

JAMMU, Sept 2: Intensifying anti drug campaign, Chief Patron Dogra Kranti Dal & former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia today said that (DKD) will be organising its 14th Marathon Run against drugs on September 17, 2019, PM Narendra Modi’s birthday, here.
He also extended his support to PM’s ‘Fit India Movement’.
While addressing media persons at Press Club Jammu, Mankotia said that Dogra Kranti Dal (NGO) is continuously as well as actively working on ground against drugs and imbibing the spirit of health & fitness among youngsters.
In this regard, 12 Marathon Runs were organised from last one and half year in Udhampur district and Jammu province. He disclosed that Marathon will commence from Balidan Stambh at 6 am and will pass through Bikram Chowk, Jewel Chowk, Kachi chowni, Secretariat Road, Panjtirthi and finally will conclude at Mubarak Mandi.
Mankotia expressed his anxiety over the spread of “Chitta” named drug at such a fast rate during the past three years due to which many of the youngsters have lost their lives. He said that it is the conspiracy of Pakistan to make our youth drug addict and a liability for the Nation. He said that Pakistan is also using drugs to lure youth to terrorism.
He said that campaigns like ‘Fit India Movement at national level is a noble idea and such type of activities should be done periodically which is the only route for drawing youth away from drugs.
Mankotia appealed youngsters to join anti drug Marathon run in maximum numbers.
DKD Jammu District President, Kailash Mohan and Vice President Anil Rakwal were also present.
