LCC outplays V Square by 7 wkts

JAMMU, June 2: Laxmi Cricket Club got better of V Square Cricket Club in an easy contest by 7 wickets to advance into the second round of the ongoing Salute and Tribute to the Players T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Parade Sports Association at Parade Ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, V Square Cricket Club bundled out for a paltry score of 84 runs in 18.2 overs. Danny was the top scorer with 25 runs, while none of the other batsman could manage a recognized score. Danny hit 4 boundaries in his 22-ball knock. For LCC, Sahil Chib was the pick of the bowlers, who scalped 3 wickets, while Hitesh, Ravi and Amit claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, LCC chased the required runs in 10.4 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Akash played a brilliant innings of 39 runs off just 24 balls with the help of 9 boundaries, while Amit contributed 17 runs to the total. Amrit Pal Singh took 2 wickets for V Square Cricket Club. Sahil Chib was adjudged man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Harsh Nayyar as umpires, while Ajay Sharma was the scorer. Dr Karan Nayyar is doing the duty of the official physiotherapist.
