KVS’s 63rd Foundation Day celebrated

JAMMU, Dec 15: The 63rd Foundation Day of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride in various Kendriya Vidyalayas across Jammu, reflecting the organisation’s rich legacy and commitment to holistic education.
At PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Gandhi Nagar, the celebration was held in the school auditorium. Hari Singh, Deputy Commissioner, KVS Regional Office Jammu Region, graced the occasion as chief guest, while Islam Khan, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO Jammu Region, was the guest of honour.. A special highlight of the event was the presence of retired KVS RO officials and retired teachers of PM SHRI KV No1 Jammu, who were honoured for their long and dedicated service to the organisation.
Addressing the gathering, Islam Khan highlighted the achievements of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, with special reference to the growth and performance of the Jammu Region and lauded the contributions of former officials and teachers. The retired officials and teachers were felicitated with mementoes and shawls. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Akash Gupta, Principal, PM SHRI KV No1 Jammu.
Meanwhile, Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2, Akhnoor, also celebrated the Foundation Day in a joyful and dignified atmosphere. Chief guest Jaipal appreciated the school’s academic and cultural traditions, mental health initiatives and effective use of technology. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Amit Walter and concluded with a vote of thanks by K C Shukla, marking the glorious 63-year journey of KVS.
