KV Samba celebrates 62nd Foundation Day

SAMBA, Dec 14: Kendriya Vidyalaya Samba celebrated its 62nd Foundation Day with great enthusiasm under the guidance of Principal Gurnam Singh. This year’s theme, “Honouring the Past while Creating the Future,” highlighted the importance of preserving traditions while striving to build a brighter tomorrow.
The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Col. Kashish Wadhwa, Captain Suvidha, and Shivana Akhtar, an alumna and Administrative Officer at GMC Udhampur. The day began with lighting of the lamp by the guests and alumna marked the start of the celebrations.
Students showcased their talents with a cultural program that included a welcome song and a vibrant cultural dance. The exhibition, presented by the school houses, displayed the creativity and hard work of the students, which was appreciated by the guests.
Balbir Singh, TGT Social Science, and Padma Dev Singh emphasized the legacy of KVS. Alumna Shivana Akhtar shared her inspiring experiences, motivating the students. Principal Gurnam Singh delivered a motivating address, and the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Pradeep Swami, PGT Computer Science, acknowledging all contributors to the success of the celebration.
