GANDERBAL, Nov 20: The final match of the inaugural Martyr Police Constable Rameez Memorial Cricket League concluded at Muqam Cricket Ground, Margund, Kangan, here today, delivering an exciting contest and paying heartfelt tribute to the brave constable.
The title clash saw Kunmullah Titans face Kangan Fighters, with the Titans clinching a commanding victory by 123 runs, thanks to stellar batting performances and disciplined bowling. The match drew an enthusiastic crowd, celebrating both competitive spirit and the memory of the fallen hero.
The closing ceremony was graced by SDPO Kangan Rajeev Kumar, SHO Kangan Insp Lateef Ali and the father of Martyr Constable Rameez Ahmad, adding emotional significance to the occasion. Their presence highlighted the league’s tribute to the constable who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation. Both SDPO and SHO emphasized the league’s role in encouraging youth participation in sports and instilling respect for martyrs.
