KATHUA, May 22: KKR Marheen defeated Chandwan Cricket Club (CC) by 4 wickets in the ongoing Kathua Premier League (KPL) in a thrilling 2nd Group-B, organised by Army’s Crossed Swords Division under the aegis of White Knight Corps, here today.
Abhishek Kumar was declared as man of the match for scoring 41 runs off 15 balls. However, Chandwan CC gave a tough target of 138 runs to KKR Marheen which was easily achieved by the latter in 15th over.
Jang Bahadur, president Vyapar Mandal and a renowned social activist presented man of the match prize and other awards to the outstanding players.
While addressing the audience and sportspersons, he appreciated the White Knight Corps for organising the tournament and motivated the young generation to participate in more such events.
