*81 schools receive kits under Samagra Shiksha

JAMMU, Mar 25: The annual sports meet at PM Shri Government High School, Kotli Tanda was organized with great enthusiasm, showcasing the spirit of sportsmanship and holistic education.
MLA Akhnoor, Mohan Lal Bhagat, graced the occasion as chief guest, while Chief Education Officer Ajeet Sharma attended as guest of honour. Deputy CEO Pardeep Singh Rakwal was present as special guest. Other dignitaries included Zonal Education Officer Akhnoor Harjeet Singh, cluster heads, Headmaster HS Kotli Tanda Naseeb Singh Rakwal and all headmasters and in-charges of middle and primary schools of Zone Akhnoor.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome address and the annual school report by Principal Naseeb Singh, highlighting academic and co-curricular achievements. Students performed vibrant cultural activities and a volleyball match added excitement to the event.
A key highlight was the distribution of sports kits to 81 schools under Samagra Shiksha, including 53 Primary, 24 Middle and 4 PM Shri Schools, promoting sports culture and fitness. CEO Ajeet Sharma appreciated the school’s standards, while MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat lauded the infrastructure, cleanliness and management, motivating students to stay focused. He announced adopting the school to support its development.
