JAMMU, May 10: J&K Sports Karate Do Association organized Kids Karate Cup, in which students from 10 schools took part.
The Kids Karate Cup has been won by Sabare Army Pre-Primary School Ratnu Chak, whereas St Joseph Convent High School, Nagrota and Air Force School, Satwari Cantt remained runner-ups.
Dr Ashok K Gupta, former Inspector General of Police, J&K, Chairman of the Association was the chief guest, who distributed the medals among winner and runner-up teams in presence of Aruna Sharma, Member of the Association.
While speaking, Dr Gupta said the primary aim of this championship was to bring the best talent in Karate into light and to expose this art on National and International levels.
Meenu Malik, Principal Sabare Army Pre-Primary School, Ratnu Chak, Dr Amit Vaid, Niharika Pandey, Brijesh Bhau and Chief Technical Director of the Championship were also present.
The matches were officiated by Shashi Janotra, Shakti Kumar  and Vinay Bhat, while Gopal Dass and Ganesh Gupta were the referees.
