JAMMU, July 10: KC Sports Club Juniors and Mandal Cricket Club got better of their rivals in the ongoing KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Cup, being played on newly laid turf at KC Public School ground, here.
In the first match, KCSC Junior defeated Strikers Cricket Club by 7 wickets.
After winning the toss, Strikers Club made 104 runs in 16 overs. Raja, Goldy and Amit contributed 29, 25 and 22 runs respectively. From KCSC Juniors, Zorawar Singh and Ashank took 3 wickets each, while Rocky took 1 wicket.
While chasing the target, KCSC Juniors rode on brilliant 65 runs by Zorawar Singh chased the target by losing 3 wickets to win the match by 7 wickets. Rohit also contributed valuable 22 runs. From Strikers Club, Goldy, Raja and Rakshit claimed 1 wicket each. Zorawar Singh was declared as the man of the match for his outstanding performance.
In another match, Mandal Cricket Club thrashed Friends Cricket Club by a huge margin of 120 runs. After winning the toss, Mandal CC scored a huge total of 207 runs in 20 overs. Aman, Ricky and Aman Singh contributed 47, 41 and 21 runs respectively. From Friends Club, Rishab took 4 wickets, while Vimal bagged 2 wickets.
FCC, in reply, bundled out for a paltry total of 87 runs in 14.2 overs. Mohit and Anshul contributed 33 and 30 runs respectively.
Ricky and Rohit took 3 wickets each, while Shubam took 2 wickets.
The matches were officiated by Vinod Kandayara, Madan Lal and Bunty.
