JAMMU, Apr 19: Star-studded Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) defeated NMCC by 14 runs to seal berth in the finals, while Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) Srinagar defeated Tawi Sports Club by 6 wickets to enter semifinals of the ongoing Jammu Kashmir Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
In the first match, RCC Srinagar defeated Tawi Sports Club by 6 wickets to make it to the semifinals.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Tawi Sports Club scored a modest total of 101 runs in 15.3 overs. Sarthak Peshin was the top scorer with 18 runs, studded with one six and 2 fours, while Nittin Mehra and Aryan Dogra contributed 17 runs each to the total. For RCC Srinagar, skipper Kuldeep Kumar and Praful Dhar took 3 wickets each, while Parveen Singh, Dilbagh Singh and Sourav Chopra claimed one wicket each.
In reply, RCC scored the required runs in 13.2 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Puneet Kumar was the top scorer with 32 runs, while Rahul Mussa and Parveen Singh contributed unbeaten 23 and 22 runs respectively. Anchal Singh bagged 2 wickets for Tawi Sports Club, while Surrender and Kamalpreet claimed one wicket each. Praful Dhar was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant bowling display.
In another match, KCCC defeated NMCC by a narrow margin of 14 runs to qualify for the finals. Batting first, KCCC scored a decent total of 152 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ramdayal was the top scorer with 45 runs, Bandeep Singh contributed 22 runs. Suryansh Raina and Vimarsh Kaw chipped in with 18 and 12 runs respectively. For NMCC, Rohit bagged 3 wickets, while Amit took 2 and Sunny claimed one.
In reply, NMCC managed to score 138 runs in the allotted 20 overs by losing 8 wickets, thus lost the match by 14 runs. Kaka scored 34 runs, while Rohit contributed unbeaten 28 runs. Bobby and Abhishek contributed 19 and 18 runs respectively. Raman Dutta captured 4 important wickets, while Sahil Lotra bagged 2 wickets. Ankush Bandral and Sahil Sharma claimed one wicket each. For his magnificent 45 runs Ramday was adjudged as man of the match.
