KATHUA, Oct 31: The Kathua District Athletics Association and Samba District Athletics Association, under the aegis of the J&K Amateur Athletics Association, will conduct the Kathua and Samba District Athletics Championships 2025 on November 2. The events will be held at Government Degree College, Kathua and Bawa Santokh Nath Stadium, Smailpur, Samba.
The championships will feature boys’ and girls’ events across age categories: U-14 (60m, long jump, shot put), U-16 (60m, 600m, long jump, shot put), U-20 (100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, long jump, shot put) and Open category (100m–1500m, long jump, shot put).
As per handout issued, the participants are required to bring a copy of Aadhaar card and date of birth certificate. The entry fee is Rs 100. For further details, interested athletes can contact 9419136504.
This championship aims to promote athletics talent at the grassroots level and encourage competitive sports among youth in Kathua and Samba districts.
