KATHUA, Nov 29: The two-day Kathua District Judo Championship concluded at the District Coaching Centre, here today. Organized by the Kathua District Judo Association under the banner of the Judo Association of Jammu & Kashmir and the J&K Sports Council, the championship witnessed the participation of nearly 120 judokas from across the district.
The event was graced by Manish Chatwal as the chief guest, with Senior Judo Coach Shakti Gupta and Khelo India Coach Yashika Jamwal (Billawar) serving as guests of honour. Officials Anmol, Jimmo, Palak Andotra, and Tanveer Andotra, along with Joginder Kumar Sharma, Manager of the Sports Stadium Kathua, supervised the event.
The championship concluded with remarkable performances. Gold medals were won by Asasheen Pari, Soni Devi, Shagufta, Sonia, Shabnam, Sunaina, Komal, Sonakshi, Sonam Sharma, Sameena Akhter, Upasana, Anmol Devi, Palak, Jimmo, Babli, Viahyat, Gagan Singh, Jaishwar, Shoaib, Shilakhita, Mastan Ali, Suresh Kumar, Zushan Choudhary, Ranveer, Rohit, Harsh Karlupia, Ansh Baloria, and Laksh. Silver medals were awarded to Palvi Sharma, Anshika, Ruchi, Sunawar, Sanjana, Sunaina, Sonakshi Devi, Simran, Kashish Sharma, Siddi Sharma, Laksh Saini, Jameel Ahmed, Anjum, Manmeet Singh, Rohit Kumar, Mohit, Abhinandan, Nirmal and Rattan. Bronze medals went to Arti, Himani, Sarika, Ritika, Jasmeet Kour, Yashika, Meenakshi, Mehak Dogra, Shivani Bhagat, Navya, Anisha, Prem Chand, Piyush, Ritik, Mohit, Parshant, Anirudh, Mukhtiar Ahmed, Shivansh, Mastan Ali, Pritam, Munish, Kanishk, Ankush, Vishwas, Pankaj and Tanmay.
