JAMMU, Dec 11: The University of Jammu Volleyball (W) team reached Pre-quarterfinals in the ongoing North Zone Inter-University Volleyball Tournament 2019-20 organized by the Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in Haryana.
In the first match, Jammu University team beat UTU Dehradun by 3-1 sets with set scores 23-25, 25-18, 25-22 & 25-15. In second match Jammu University outplayed CSKHPKV Palampur by 3-0 sets with set scores 25-01, 25-10 & 25-08. After that Jammu University also thrashed Manav Rachna University Faizabad by 3-0 sets with set scores 25-10, 25-07 & 25-14 and reaches Pre-Quarterfinal in the said Tournament.
Tomorrow, the JU team will play against the MJP Rohilkhand University Bareilly.
Champa Rani, Shiwali Kumari and Sheetal Kumari were the star performers of Jammu University who led the team to pre-quarterfinal.
Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu lauded the efforts of the team officials Neeten Sharma (Coach) and Sahil Sharma (Manager) and also congratulated the players of Jammu University Volleyball (W) team for showing tremendous performance.
