JAMMU, Oct 28: The Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, organized the Inter-Collegiate Table Tennis and Football tournaments for the 2025-26 session, drawing participation from several affiliated colleges.
In the Table Tennis (Men’s) matches, GDC Basohli defeated GDC Billawar by 3-0, while GMC Doda outplayed GDC Poonch by 3-0. The games were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Sahil Malgotra and Sakshi Dabgotra.
In women’s football, GDC Poonch defeated PG Department, University of Jammu by 3-1 in a tie-breaker. In men’s football, KC Law College beat GDC Kunjwani by 2-1, GDC Udhampur triumphed over IUET Kathua by 3-0 and GDC Kunjwani overcame Prabha Harijilal College by 3-0. Matches were officiated by Rahul Sharma, Dheeraj Menia, Dil Bahadur, Kartik, Shivam Gupta, Ramesh Chander and Gagan Kumar.
The tournaments highlighted teamwork, skill and competitive spirit, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for sports among University of Jammu students.
