JAMMU, Nov 13: University of Jammu advanced to the semifinals of the Vice Chancellor’s T-20 Cricket Tournament at LUVAS University, Hisar, following a dominant 73-run win over Panjab University, Chandigarh. Batting first, Jammu posted a formidable 234 in 20 overs, thanks to Shantul Raina’s spectacular 145 runs, featuring 15 sixes and 7 fours, ably supported by Vishal (30), Rajesh (28) and Sandeep (23).
In reply, Panjab University managed 161/9 with Naveen (47) and Ammy (25) top-scoring. Karan Sharma starred with the ball, claiming 5 wickets for 31 runs, supported by Raj Kumar Bakshi, Balwant Singh and Rajesh. Shantul Raina was named as Man of the Match for his outstanding innings, leading JU into the semifinals.
