JAMMU, Sept 24: The students of Jodhamal Public School brought laurels to the institution in the just concluded Inter-School Chess Championship held under the auspices of All Indian Chess Federation.
According to a handout issued here, Prabnoor Singh Chowdhary and Dewang Gupta claimed first place in Under–11 and Under–7 boys category, while Angad Singh Sodi stood second in Under-13 category. They would now participate in All India School Championship to be held in Delhi in October, 2012.
The other students of the School, who participated were Aakarshak Sethi, Devansh Verma, Sabi Singh and Saharsh Mahajan. Amanpreet Kaur and Guneet Kour participated in the girl’s category.
The School Management including Principal T S Bist and Vice-Principal Rohini Aima were among others who attended the function.
