Jodhamal hosts Inter-School Poetry Competition

JAMMU, May 13: An inter-school poetry recitation competition ‘Emotions in Motion’ under the aegis of Sahodaya School Complex, Jammu Chapter was organized today at Jodhamal Public School.
Theme of the poetry recitation was ‘Celebrating Togetherness’. The competition saw overwhelming response with 39 Schools of Jammu enrolling for it. Students from classes 3 to 5 participated in the competition and recited amazing poetry reinforcing the idea of togetherness.
Dr. Rajesh Rathore, Principal, JK Public School and President, Sahodaya Jammu Chapter was chief guest and Dr. Kunal Anand, Principal, Delhi Public School, Udhampur and Vice President, Sahodaya Jammu Chapter was the guest of honour on the occasion.
The competition was judged by Sadaf Shah, Associate Professor, University of Jammu and Gunjan Kohli, PGT English, KV no. 2.
The programme commenced with welcome group song and dance by Students of Jodhamal Public School.
Principal, Girish Kumar delivered welcome speech.
After the announcement of results for the competition first prize was given to Keshav Raina, Stephen’s International School; second to Jia Sahni, Model Academy; third to Rajvir Singh, Jodhamal Public School and consolation prizes were given to Heeya, JK Public School; Japanjot, Jammu Sanskriti School and Aayat, Heritage School.
Shirin Misri and Master Pavit Arora compeered the programme.
The winners were given the Certificates of Appreciation and mementos while all the participants were given Certificates of Participation.
Deepali Puri, CCA Coordinator Junior Wing, presented vote of thanks.
