J&K’s Yudhvir named in India-A Squad for Australia-A series

JAMMU, Sept 14: In a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir cricket, pacer Yudhvir Singh Charak has been named in the India-A squad for the upcoming three-match One Day series against Australia-A, scheduled to begin on September 30, 2025, at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squads today. The matches will be played on September 30, October 3 and October 5.
Yudhvir earned the selectors’ nod following his outstanding performances last season – 26 wickets in 7 Ranji Trophy matches, 9 wickets in 7 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches, and a solid run in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Known for his ability to move the ball both ways with genuine pace, he is being seen as a bright prospect for the national team.
“This is the best opportunity to realise my dream of playing for India,” said Yudhvir, who also thanked the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) for their continued support. Brigadier Anil Gupta (Member Administration, JKCA) and Mithun Manhas (Member Cricket Operations, JKCA) congratulated Yudhvir, adding that more J&K players are in the reckoning for India-A and even senior India call-ups.
