J&K’s Prinkle enters semis of Chennai National Tennis C’ship

JAMMU, Aug 19:  Prinkle Singh, ace Tennis player from Jammu and Kashmir reached semifinal in the ongoing Chennai National Championship, one of the prestigious Tennis Indian Ranking tournament.
In a draw of 64 players, Prinkle, 16th seed got a bye in the first match.
In second match, she fought with Kavya Sawhney of Uttar Pradesh in a tough match and finally won by (7-6,7-6), while in the third round, Prinkle Singh beat Vaneeth Mummadi of Maharashtra in an easy contest by (6-1, 6-1).
In the quarterfinal, Prinkle Singh defeated Chanirika Joshi of Karnatka by (6-3,6-3) and in semifinal, Prinkle will lock horns against Akansha Bhan of Gujarat.
In doubles, the duo of Prinkle Singh and Kavya Sawhney also reached into the last four stages.
