JAMMU, Mar 6: After consulting senior members of the Jammu and Kashmir Gymnastic Association (JKGA), J&K Olympic Association and Gymnastic Federation of India, the newly elected president of the JKGA, Kiran Wattal announced the office bearers of the Association, here today.
The election for the post of president of the Association was held on November 24, 2013, when Mr Wattal was unanimously elected for the same. The election was held under the supervision of Gymnastics Federation of India and J&K Olympic Association.
With Dr Farooq Abdullah as patron-in-chief, Romesh Mahajan and Sheikh Fazal Ahmed as patrons, the office bearers include Prof Ashutosh Sharma (working president), Abdul Hameed (senior vice president) and Prof HS Chib, Ajit Singh Wazir, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Ranjeet Kalra and Anil Khajuria as vice presidents.
Prof M M Sharma will be the new general secretary, while Indumeet Singh and Mushtaq Ahmed will be joint secretaries, Kashmir wing and Dr Harleen Singh and Harvinder Singh will be the joint secretaries of Jammu wing. Som Raj Gupta will be the treasurer of the Association.
The technical committee members included Krupali Singh, chairman; Manisha and Nalish Kumar Shukla as members and S P Singh as convener, while the executive committee members announced by the president JKGA include Prof RC Thakur, Nirmolak Singh, Ravi Salgotra, Vikas Gupta, Aman Sharma, Ashutosh, Hilal Ahmed, Mahesh Kumar, Tejinder Singh and Ravinder Singh.
