JKCA squad to depart for Kolkata tomorrow

JAMMU, Nov 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has announced its 25-member contingent, including ten officials, set to depart for Kolkata tomorrow to participate in the prestigious Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.

 

Led by opener Shubham Khajuria, the Jammu and Kashmir side will begin its campaign in the national T20 championship from November 26, 2025.

 

The squad features a balanced mix of experienced players and emerging talents, reflecting JKCA’s continued emphasis on nurturing young potential while maintaining a competitive edge.

 

The team lineup comprises Qamran Iqbal, Shubham Khajuria (Captain), Vivrant Sharma, Musaif Aijaz, Abdul Samad, Yawar Hassan, Kanhaiya Wadhawan (Vice-Captain), Abid Mushtaq, Vanshaj Sharma, Ashwin Murugan, Yudhvir Singh, Aquib Nabi, Umran Malik, Nasir Lone and Sunil Kumar.

 

Former India international Ajay Sharma will accompany the squad as Head Coach, spearheading the technical and tactical preparations for the tournament. The supporting staff includes P. Krishna Kumar (Bowling Coach), Dishant Yagnik (Fielding Coach), Hilal Ahmed (Manager), Ravi Sharma (Co-Manager), Sunny Kumar (Trainer), Susheel Pajnu (Video Analyst), Chirag Pandya (Physiotherapist), Naresh Kumar (Masseur) and Manoj Kumar (Side-Arm Expert).

 

The JKCA Administrator, Brig Anil Gupta has expressed confidence in the team’s preparations and morale, highlighting that the blend of youth and experience, coupled with strong coaching and support infra, positions Jammu and Kashmir as a formidable competitor in the upcoming tournament.
