REASI, Apr 14: Wrestler Ajay Sharma of Landen Power House, Udhampur lifted 27th Dera Kesari Dangal 2018 title by defeating Wrestler Babba of Domana Akhara Jammu, resident of Kot Bhalwal in the first malli bout that lasted for 19 minutes at holy Shrine Dera Baba Banda Bahadur, here today.
Dangal was organized by Dera Baba Banda Bahadur Prabandhak Committee, Baba Banda Bahadur Sikh Samardi in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma and Baba Jatinder Paul Singh Sodhi (Gaddinaskeen).
Deputy Commissioner Reasi Prasanna Ramaswamy G. was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes among the winners and runner-up wrestlers.
In all, 24 bouts were played in the one day long Dangal, in which winner of Ist malli bout Ajay Sharma was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 5,000 along with traditional ‘Gurj (Gadda) and Patta’.
