JAMMU, Apr 25: J&K Masters Women Basketball team has clinched gold medal in 40+ Category in the 7th Masters National Games, organized by the Masters Games Association Himachal Pradesh under the aegis of the Super Masters Games and Sports Federation (India) at Dharamshala (HP).
The J&K team lifted the gold medal in the team championship event with the talented athletes, Coach/Captain Mousmi Verma, Sakshi, Shital, Madhu, Pushvinder, Ankita Singh, Vasundhra and Meetu Singh.
Captain Mousmi Verma dominated the court with her 3 point shots, Sakshi, Madhu, Pushvinder and Shital contributed with precise 2 point baskets, while Ankita and Sakshi maintained accuracy in free shots, managed the team to win the gold medal.
JKMGA general secretary and International player Neeti Kour said that the tireless efforts and outstanding performances of the players have brought pride to J&K.
The team played under the overall supervision and guidance of the JKMGA general secretary. The matches were played between Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh.
Team members said that winning the gold is not just a medal but it’s a message that dreams when pursued with passion truly shine.
