J&K to face Uttarakhand in Senior Women’s T20 match today

JAMMU, Aug 10: As part of its continued efforts to boost women’s cricket, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has organised an exposure tour for the Senior Women’s team, with a series of T20 practice matches lined up in Chandigarh.
The team will open their campaign against Uttarakhand tomorrow at 1:00 pm at Baba Balak Nath Cricket Ground, Kaimwala, Chandigarh. The tour includes six consecutive matches against top sides-Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Uttarakhand-between August 11 to 16.
As per the schedule, J&K will take on Himachal Pradesh on August 12, Chandigarh on August 13, Uttarakhand again on August 14, Himachal Pradesh on August 15, and wrap up against Chandigarh on August 16. JKCA Member Administration, Brig Anil Gupta, stated, “JKCA is committed to improving the standard of women’s cricket. These exposure tours are a vital part of the development process.”
The squad includes: Jasia Akhtar (Captain), Shivanti Gupta, Chitra Singh Jamwal, Rubia Syed, Rudrakshi Chib (Vice-Captain), Sarla Devi, Sandhya Sayal, Bismah Hassan, Bawandeep Kour, Ruqaya Amin, Lalita (WK), Ananaya Sharma, Sheeraza Banoo, Mariya Noorain, Mahika Rana and Sanjana. The team is being coached by former India international Latika Kumari, who is accompanying the players as Head Coach.
