J&K players leave for Int’l Speedball event

JAMMU, Feb 18:  Four J&K Speedball players, out of seven, selected by India Speedball Association have been left for participation in the upcoming International Speedball event, here today.
The international Speedball championship is scheduled to be held in Egypt from February 20 to 25, being organized by the Egyptian Speedball Federation under the banner of Round Speedball Federation, recognized by Egyptian Olympic Committee (EOC).
Sunny Nanda will accompany the India team as chief coach.
It is pertinent to mention here that India Speed Ball Association selected seven players for junior international Speedball championship, wherein four players from the Jammu and Kashmir.
The selected players are Jaspreet Kour (Carmel Convent School) Amritjyot Singh Tulla (International Delhi Public School) Rishvinder Singh Tulla (RN Tagore Hr. Sec. School)  and Ankur Choudhan (Crescent  Sports Club Janipur).
Pooja Malhotra, patron of the Association was the chief guest and Tarun Uppal (Social activist) was the guest of honour. They flagged off the players for the international event and wished them good luck for competition.
