SRINAGAR, Jan 15: The screening test for the J&K Junior Ball Badminton Boys & Girls Team was conducted at Bakshi Stadium, here, today. The test was held to select players for the 69th Junior National Ball Badminton Championship 2024-25, which will take place in Deogram, Nagpur (Maharashtra) from January 17 to 21.
The selection process followed a Selection trial was held on 23rd December 2024 at Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar, and a 21-day Residential Coaching Camp that ran from 23rd December 2024 to 12th January 2025.
The screening was conducted under the supervision of the J&K Sports Council Screening Committee, which included Nusrat Gazala (Divisional Sports Officer, Kashmir, J&K Sports Council), Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar (Senior Manager, J&K Sports Council), Kabra Altaf (Member, J&K Sports Council), and Burhan Ahmad (Physiotherapy member, J&K Sports Council). The J&K Ball Badminton Association was represented by Arsheena Khan (General Secretary, J&K Ball Badminton Association & Joint Secretary, BBFI) and Mohsin Farooq (Member, J&K Ball Badminton Association), along with other association members and renowned national players who also supervised the screening process. The selected players will now prepare for their participation in the championship later this month.
