JAMMU, Dec 20: Senior Chess team of J&K today left for participation in the forthcoming Senior National Championship after screening, conducted by the Screening Committee of J&K Sports council.
The championship is scheduled to be held at New Delhi from December 22 to January 3.
Selected players were Soham Kamotra, Ajit Singh, Faisal Farooq and Khalid Amin.
The screening was supervised by Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, Ashok Singh Jamwal and Sports Officer Central Madam Ghazala in presence of Satish Gupta Manager Indoor Stadium, Atul Kumar Gupta president All J&K Chess Association, Baldev Raj vice president and others.
