JAMMU, July 2: Jammu and Kashmir Bank team blanked State Football Association (SFA) by five goals to nil (5-0) on the opening day of the Premier Division Football League, organised by J&K Football Association (JKFA) at Synthetic Turf TRC, Srinagar.
As per the reports reaching here, J&K Bank, in the second match of the day, completely dominated the opponent.
In the beginning both the teams started aggressive and coordinated football. It was in the 12th minute of the first half when Furkan netted the ball taking every one surprise. J&K Bank made another goal move in the 30th minute through Danish.
Later in the second half, Akif of J&K Bank scored a hattrick netting the ball in the 40th, 43rd and 75th minutes.
In the opening match, Islamic University held Tawheed FC to goalless draw. Athar of Islamic University scored a brilliant goal in the first half to help the side take lead. However, in the second half, Tawheed FC made some excellent moves and equalized the score to make it a 1-1 draw.
Earlier, Executive Chief of JKFA, SA Hameed declared the tournament open in an impressive and well attended function. On the occasion, he also interacted with the teams.
