JAMMU, May 24: Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports (JIM&WS) and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Regional Office, Jammu are jointly organizing Adventure Courses for 50 Kendriya Vidyalayas in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Courses are being held in Sanasar (Patnitop), Bhaderwah, Pahalgam and Leh.
During these Courses, around 1500 participants will be exposed to rock craft environment awareness, educative lectures, trekking and especially on first aid, tent pitching at different sub-training centers of the Institute.
While speaking Principal of Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports, Colonel Virinder Singh apprised the participants about the importance of Adventure Sports and the importance of clean surroundings and spreading awareness to protect environment in the midst of increasing Global warming.
He also appreciated the efforts of AVLJ Rao, Deputy Commissioner Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for sponsoring the Kendriya Vidyalaya students for Adventure Courses.
In addition to these courses, JIM&WS is also organizing a Mountain Expedition, 6 Basic Mountaineering Courses and 2 Advance Mountaineering Courses for J&K Armed Police, SDRF Personnel, Indian Air Force, NCC and Private Students from all over the Country.
