JAMMU, May 29: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu organised a highly enriching CBSE Awareness Programme on entrance examinations and career pathways, bringing together eminent educators, principals, vice principals, counsellors and academicians from across the region.
The programme aimed at equipping educators and counsellors with updated knowledge about entrance examinations, emerging career opportunities and evolving educational trends to help students make informed career choices.
The school expressed gratitude to Himanshu Gupta, Secretary, CBSE and Neeti Shankar for conceptualising and curating the initiative for educators and counsellors of Jammu. Though both dignitaries could not attend due to official engagements in Delhi, their guidance and support played a significant role in the successful conduct of the programme.
Resource persons Meenu Arora, Director, Medhavi Professionals and Ojasvi Sharma, Senior Career Counsellor at IDC, conducted informative and interactive academic sessions on entrance exams, counselling strategies and future career avenues.
The programme commenced with Vande Mataram and the National Anthem. Students welcomed the guests with hand-made cards presented by Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima, management heads and students. The ceremonial lamp lighting and plantation drive symbolised knowledge, enlightenment and environmental responsibility.
Students also presented a welcome song, welcome dance and a vibrant fusion dance showcasing the rich cultural heritage and unity in diversity of India.
Addressing the gathering, Rohini Aima stressed the importance of holistic and value-based education and highlighted the role of educators and counsellors in shaping responsible global citizens.
The dignitaries and resource persons were felicitated by Sonakshi Anand, Harleen Anand, Harpreet Anand, Rohini Aima, Milli Sumbria, Jammu Sahodaya President Atul Hans, Vice President Rajeev Sharma, Kundan Dogra, City Coordinator Pramod Srivastava, Vikesh Ahluwalia and other members.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Avneet Kaur Budhraja, who thanked the CBSE officials, guests, educators, organisers, staff members and students for making the event a grand success.
