Jammu eves outplay Kashmir counterparts in U-17 volleyball

Jammu, Aug 30: Jammu division girls defeated the eves of Kashmir division in straight sets (3-0) by (25-12, 25-18 and 25-10) in the Inter-Division Volleyball Tournament for boys and girls of all age groups, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Mini Stadium, here.
S Yudhvir Singh, Principal Government Degree College for Women, Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion, while Raj Guru, president Volleyball Association was the guest of honour.
Around 100 spikkers drawn from the two divisions participated in the Tournament, which is being held under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Udhampur.
In volleyball Under-14 girls, Jammu division got better of Kashmir division in (3-0) sets, while in volleyball Under-17 boys, Kashmir division prevailed over Jammu division by (25-12, 25-18 and 25-16).
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Manik Nargotra, Kuldeep Sharma, Pushap Kumar, Sanjeev Verma, Kulbhushan Kumar and Khalid Mohd.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were BB Sharma, Vice Principal GCW Udhampur and Champa Devi, ZPEO Udhampur.
