Jammu District dominates Day-2 of State Kabaddi Championship

UDHAMPUR, Mar 30: District Jammu dominated on day-2 of the 21th Senior State Kabaddi Championship by winning matches in both men and women categories.
MR Khan, Commandant CRPF 137 Battalion Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion, who appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee for smooth and successful conduct of the tournament.
Kharati Lal Sharma, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Udhampur was the special guest.
The tournament is being organized under the patronage of Anil Gupta, President J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association under the Chairmanship of Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed, President Udhampur District Kabaddi Association and under the overall supervision of Ashok Kumar Sharma, General Secretary Udhampur District Kabaddi Association. Sanjay Sharma is the coordinator of the tournament.
In men’s section, Jammu defeated Rajouri by 52-12; Poonch held UKC Udhampur to (20-20) draw and Kathua drubbed Poonch by (37-16).
In women’s section, Jammu defeated kathua by (21-04) and J&K Police got the better of Udhampur by 42-36.
Prominent among others who witnessed the matches were Rajninder Singh Katoch, former DYSSO and Pawan Kumar, ZPEO Panchari.
The matches were officiated by Ashwani Kumar, Bhim Sein, Kuldeep Sharma, Ajit Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Pushap Sharma, Rakesh Khajuria, Ramesh Chander, Naveen Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Vipin Photra, Pallavi Magotra, Deepak Sharma, Vicky Sharma and Ram Kumar.
